I haven't had a chance to use these as it hasn't gotten cold enough yet but they seem to be well made and warm. They are not pretty but I didn't buy them for looks, I bought them for shoveling and being outside when it's COLD. They would work well as liners under Gore Tex overmitts or thin mittens.

good everyday mittens
I have three pairs of these, good manual dexterity and light weight. Good general purpose mittens, very functional for everyday use. Replaced my Chinese made Walmart "hot paws" and much happier.
