Karakul fur is also known as Astrakhan fur. The wool top of this hat acts as water resistant shell. The nature of the fabric is such that it very slowly absorbs moisture, and once wet it becomes almost impenetrable to water. When it gets wet, it does not let moisture in.
You can tie its warm comfortable ear flaps either beneath your chin, on top of your head, or at the back for three comfortable styles.
For your convenience an insignia comes unattached to the hat.

I needed a slightly bigger size Ushanka than is listed, and thankfully the customer service department let me know that they have a professional stretching machine that was able to stretch the hat to size 66! Very happy with my purchase

It's is wonderful! The delivery was very quick for someone who lives in UK. Took at least week to arrive. Arrived in perfect state, the size fits for my head. I have very small head and it fits perfectly. The fur doesn't shed a lot, very nicely sewn, good quality. The service is very good. Overall, perfect experience so far! Also loving the insignia and extra. Will order again.

Customer support was extremely helpful on guiding me as to which size to order, and it was a perfect fit! Hat arrived sooner than expected. It is made extremely well and looks great on, besides being really warm. Glad I made this purchase for my son.

Fantastic hat, very warm. Quality is excellent. I have a similar, full Karakul hat that I've worn for many years but I now prefer the Karakul hat with the woolen top as it is lighter in weight.

A great looking hat that is so well made! As a seamstress, I always look closely at the construction of a garment and this one appears to be flawless! My husband loves it and can't wait for a cold, country winter to come around again.

My husband absolutely loves his hat. He is completely bald, but he said his hat keeps his head warm even when the temps reach below 0. He said that he wish he had a matching coat and gloves that kept him this warm. Great product. We are forever customers.

I have ordered two of these hats over the past year and was surprised of their high quality. These are heavy duty wool and fur hats. Super warm and much better quality item than the Mad Bomber!

These are the best winter hats I've ever had! The quality, price, and warmth of them is unbelievable! I personally recommend the sheepskin, I just ordered my fiancé one. You won't be disappointed but follow the size guidelines!

The only thing that makes me sad about this Ushanka (black with imperial eagle) is that I live in Florida and will only be able to use it for maybe two months out of the year. Great quality, prompt shipping, and it fits my oversized head better than any other hat I've ever had. Love it!
